Tax Slabs
Pakistan taxes income on a progressive slab system: higher slices of income are taxed at higher rates, and only the amount inside each slab pays that slab’s rate. Salaried individuals and non-salaried individuals use different slab tables – using the wrong one is a common and costly mistake.
Slabs by tax year
- Tax slabs 2025-26 – verified against FBR’s notified salary tax card.
- Tax slabs 2026-27 – status and what to expect.
Historical tables (2014-15 through 2024-25) are being compiled from each year’s Finance Act and will appear here as verification completes. For instant computation with the years already loaded, use our salary tax calculator.
How to read a slab table
Take the 2025-26 salaried table: the first Rs 600,000 is tax-free. The next Rs 600,000 is taxed at 1% – that’s Rs 6,000. The next Rs 1,000,000 at 11% adds Rs 110,000, and so on. Your total tax is the sum across every slab your income touches. Our calculators do this arithmetic for you, showing each slab’s contribution.
