Income Tax Calculator

Pakistan taxes non-salaried individuals – freelancers, consultants, traders and professionals – on a separate slab table from salaried employees. This calculator computes your general income tax once verified rates for your selected year are available.

Salaried vs non-salaried: why it matters

Choosing the wrong table is the most common DIY filing mistake. Salaried income (taxed at source by your employer each month) and business or professional income fall under different sections of the Income Tax Ordinance, with different slabs, different withholding rules and different return forms. If you earn both – a salary plus freelance work, for example – each stream is computed under its own rules and then combined on your return. When in doubt, let our team file for you.

What counts as taxable income?

Broadly: salary, business profits, professional fees, property rental income, and certain capital gains and other sources – minus allowable deductions and exemptions. Withholding tax already deducted on your bank transactions, contracts or imports is adjustable against your final liability, not lost.

Please note: This calculator provides an estimate for guidance only and is not tax advice. Rates and rules change frequently - verify against official FBR / provincial notifications or consult a qualified tax professional before acting.
